Okay. So. I don’t know how to start this except that everything about Sterling is absolutely different than the way I saw it. Interestingly enough, it’s been that way with all of my characters. I shouldn’t be surprised at this by this point, but I still am. Read on to learn more about Sterling Remington!

When I started the Forbidden Temptation series, my intention was to make Xavier, the older cousin, the protector. He was the one who was meant to be the leader. Everyone looked to him for guidance and everything else.

But when I started writing Sterling and diving into him, he really called to me. He was the easiest character I’ve ever written. The reason? Because while he’s the strong, silent type, he’s the one who is hardest to control. He’s the one who’d blow up the entire world and think nothing of it if it meant protecting the ones he loves.

He’s the truly feared one because he’s unpredictable. He’s the darkest because, while all of his cousins have their own issues, he internalizes his and doesn’t say a word to anyone about them. He’s dangerous.

And he knows how to keep a secret. Even if it means keeping it from his cousins to protect them or someone else. Sterling really is the Alpha of the group.
