Colton DeLise

Colton DeLise was a character I honestly never saw coming. The guy just dropped out of nowhere and became the perfect love interest for my cocky high school Quarterback. He also gave my story a plot that I hadn’t planned on and helped me write his story faster than I’ve written almost any other story I’ve written. Read on to find out just how Colton became the perfect love interest. 

Colton exudes confidence. He doesn’t need anyone. He has himself. He hates authority and taking orders from anyone. Irony because he is authority. Colton is a Detective with Brystone Springs Police Department. 

It’s when a huge case lands on his desk that Colton’s path crosses with the man who steals his heart and never lets it go. Something no one has ever managed to do before. Something else no one has ever managed to do before is get Colton DeLise to take orders. Which is exactly what happens when his case blows up and the love of his life ends up in danger. 

Once Colt started talking, there was no shutting him up. Absolutely none. Colton wrote my whole story as soon as he opened his mouth. I knew exactly where I was going, and the words just flowed like word vomit onto the page. 

By the time Colton’s and Xavier’s story was done, I had an entire series planned out, and a whole other book in my head just itching to put itself on paper.
